So, I am fairly new to Cheat Engine, and so far it has done wonderfully. There is one thing I would like to ask you guys.

So recently, I'm using cheat engine on this game I'm currently playing. It's a multiplayer game probably mmorpg. And I learned that cheat engine doesn't work on most mmorpg.

So here is my problem.

So I opened the game and then open cheat engine (there is no hackshield whatsoever) I manage to find the address of what I was looking for, using the methods from this tutorial. So I changed the value to what I want of course. Let say for example, I change my money from $100 to $10000. And it works for a moment. It showed that I have $10000, but when I re-log, it reverted back to the original amount which is $100.

It basically just SHOW that I have 10000, but it doesn't really mean that I have $10000. I tried to buy a $9000 items with $10000, and it said that I have insufficient money.

So could it be that the money I have was saved in the game's storage? and it is impossible to change the value permanently?
