Is awesome... what's with the hate?
I'm also having fun trying to glitch stuff. Unfortunately I've only had silly collision glitches that don't have much of a result, such as falling through umbrellas and strafing to places that obviously weren't meant to be reached. Oh and bypassing invisible walls is fun :p _________________

People were complaining because what was initially released as the final game was a dev pre-build.
A honest mistake by either Steam or the developers. _________________

| Saucy and I just finished it early. Did all the side quests except for the ones at the end. Was an enjoyable game but there are quite a few bugs. Not enough bugs to make the game bad by any means, but there are still a good amount. |

The controls in this game are fucked. Any attempt to change them glitches the user interface
All zombies spawn in the exact same places.
Finding the character with the worst voice acting is very difficult.
Weapons feel like they're made of bread and break in 3-5 hits.
Items spawn in the exact same place, you can visit a cash register every once in a while to get a free $300.
Zombie pathing is glitched.
Using a vehicle pretty much turns god mode on. Touching a zombie kills it automatically.
Some doors can be broken and others can't. What the fuck kind of logic is this?
Going somewhere you're not supposed to insta-kills you.
Characters constantly remind you to do something. This character told me to see another character as he was walking inside the lighthouse. Problem is, he said it about 10 times in a loop.
Movement is very slow and clunky.
Animation is fucking godawful.
Zombie's eyes follow your character, even when they are dead.
If I think for a bit more, I can think of a few more.
Other than these few slight problems, it's pretty much awesome. |

Animation seems fine to me. Just looks like a game. But I did lol this one time when a dudes arm like turned inside out when he was talking to someone.
As for the doors... are you serious? Can't say there are many games that aren't like that. Name three fps games where you can open every door.
Movement does feel slow at times, but it also feels powerful. And sprinting feels pretty great.
Now I'm going to use Borderlands as a comparison here, as I feel they're very similar but for some reason Dead Island has taken more heat. Why would people complain about creatures and items spawning in the same places with Dead Island, but not Borderlands? I can't say I've heard one complaint about that with Borderlands. The same goes for vehicles in Borderlands. I haven't used the vehicles much in Dead Island yet but they seem just about as frail as the Borderlands vehicles. But yet again, a complaint for Dead Island. Same with insta-killing if you venture to a restricted area.
And this isn't aimed directly at you, but to the people that think this stuff makes it a bad game. _________________

No, pretty much everything he has posted in that list holds true. Infected will run through walls and what not. There are quite a few barriers that will kill you one being the bunker to the far north of the resort. If you climb up it before you unlock it, it'll kill you. I've had the loop happen quite a bit, gets annoying. Another bad thing is if you have a Logitech headset with 5.1/7.1 surround in it, the sound tends to glitch and you get a nice fuzz sound that's super loud. I dunno about the eye one because I never paid that much attention. It does seem that every character you escort look like they have a stick up their ass though. |

| @up2 I said some doors can be broken not opened. Locked doors. Not many games do this (none that I can think of). |

Are there some doors in that game that can be broken down and some that can't? |

Are there some doors in that game that can be broken down and some that can't? | No. You can bust through any door you want. You can bust through other stuff too, like fences and concrete walls. |
