Hey,

i need to know something, i now finally got it to program a app which let u change text in a specific process, with C#.

But now i got an idea of something. I want to change a Byte (4bytes type adress) i found in cheatengine to get it out as Words (letters/String) not as Numbers.

I tried: VAM.WriteStringUnicode((PtrInt)0x000000, (textBox1.Text));

it works fine, but if u write the word "hello" as an example, it comes not out as a string, it comes out as a decimal numer like "6042872" or something. How can i get it to a string ???

it doesn't work like that. the game is expecting a number there which it will then convert to a string. if you supply a string there instead, it will read it as a number still and attempt to convert it to a string. you should find the part where it does the conversion and make it simply return your string instead

Lol this sounds complex. How should i find the Conversion thingy ?? I dont know which scans i should do for that :S

I see you are using VAmemory from vivid-abstractions, It's not as easy as you think it is. If the game displays the word as decimal then do as slugsnack said and find the function that converts it and just make it return your string. BTW what game are you hacking?

Yeah right, its so usefull for me these tutorials on Vivid Abstractions, i began now 1 week ago with C# and already wrote my own code with VAMemory for Strings and wrote finally a really hot Name Hack for my own for HaloCE and HaloPC all in one =).

So im hacking a bit HaloPC/CE (but no online hacks, im not a cheater,botter etc. in multiplayer, i make then only trainers for Own Host Games or something.

Yeah well, but how i should find that convert part ?? I dont know how i should go on with that.

It's not easy to explain, just debug around it, try searching what accesses it and writes to it, and also mess around in olly debuger. I haven't tried score hacks or name hacks so I can't directly tell you how to do it, but if you want to work together on hacks in halo maybe I can help you. send me an email @ fwilwerding@hotmail . com

Yeah well, Name hack is my special field . Like i said, now i made a new App for HaloPC/CE all in one. Halo Unlimited Names.exe

Wanted ever to program this tool, its like a normal name hack but the most name hacks dont even work anymore so i did my own and maybe i will realease it on HaloMaps.org too. But this app, lets u change ur name too while u'r playing in-game. So u dont have to quit out anymore in halo.

Dunno if all other name hacks could do it too, just found it out last time i played.

I've long been concerned with Name Hack Stuff, its easy for me now . But the other thingy is hard with the 4bytes thing.

Do you just want modify a string value into the game memory?

I can do a function for it, but explain better your question, because i get confused with this part:

he wants to change the numbers in game to words say your score is 10 he might want it to be H or HI he wants to change numbers to letters in game
