I've played a shitload of pservers and v55 is still my favorite version.
How many people would be playing? Is there already a community of people that you know are gonna be playing? Is this gonna be public? Will you be trying to get thousands and thousands of people to play? How long will the server be up? Does he intend to have it 24/7 for a few months?
If theres only gonna be like, ten people on at any given time, I don't really see how this would work out too well. If it's almost "vanilla" then the exp rate would be lower that x50, right? It would take a while for anyone to get to lvl 200.
This might work too well but I'm still interested.

Most recent server files are .83. Unless you use that one dude who is making one in Delphi. He has a .97 but not all of it works. And old MS is best MS.

I made a v83 the other day just to see if I could, it worked fine, aran combos and everything.
