It's true they took the windows mobile os and blew it up for bigger resolutions and called it windows 8.
Looks like shit and a developer's nightmare.
No way I'm leaving windows 7 behind.
It's just like when they have xp then vista, everyone stayed with xp.

What's new?
Tiles
Apps
Different UI
Nothing that I need really, tiles are ugly, apps are stupid, and I don't want to have my windows floating around in some new customizable workspace when I'm perfectly content with what I have now.
I always work with everything fullscreen and just switch back and forth anyway, so all in all there's nothing for me in windows 8 so far.
I care less about cosmetics and more about low resource usage and flexibility.

| I doubt I will switch from windows 7 any time in the next 3 or 4 years. Everything runs on it perfect. We just got dx11 too and not everything even uses it yet. Games still use 9.0 for a lot of things. I'm pretty sure we are cool for a while.

You would think with such a large portion of their userbase still on xp, they would've noticed that. I'm happy they finally got a nice balance with 7 though, and can't see myself upgrading for some time.
