everything has power
no noises from the motherboard after i turn it on, beeps etc
everything is connected properly
no output from my video card
differential diagnosis

yeah, nothing.
also strangely enough if i have a normal hdd theres no power to it but if i have like a sata hdd it works.

maybe your BIOS doesnt support IDE HDDs

nah it does
the main issue isnt with the hdd though its with the motherboard either A not doing anything or B not sending anything to the video card and as far as i can tell everything i hooked up correctly
later ill probably dissemble the entire thing and fit it back together to make sure i didnt fuck up

That wouldn't stop the bios from loading though. That's weird.

In that case, is the power more than enough for your components, or just barely enough.
I'm thinking one hdd takes a different amount of power than the other which could cause your video card to not function. This happens to me sometimes because I have just enough power to run things.
Course I'm just guessing.
