I'll be picking up Wing Chun next to my Krav Maga training. Krav Maga has been going pretty good, and after two months I've already been invited to join the exams for my yellow belt. Not sure if I'm going to take it, considering how I've not yet memorized all yellow belt techniques, and I don't want to look like an idiot, but I'll be working towards it.
I figured I'd pick up Wing Chun because it's also a short-range fighting style, and makes use of speed to defend and/or counter. Considering I'm allowed to use any martial art during Krav Maga, I thought it'd be a good idea to start learning techniques that require minimum movement, and can be used during my training. Plus I'd get to work on increasing my reaction time. And finally, it's one of the few martial arts that I can still practice after doing Krav Maga, because of the muscle pain I'm left with.
So yeah, I'll be doing Krav Maga two times a week (three times a week after the summer break), and Wing Chun once a week. Feeling pretty good about myself right now. Perhaps in five years time I'll be allowed to call myself a mixed-martial artist.
EDIT: Woops, forgot to post a video to illustrate what I'm going to learn:
And the Krav Maga video for those that did not see my previous post (although I'm in a beginners class so we don't use excessive moves like those yet):
or you know, you could just use a handgun, i heard it is short ranged and have minimum movement :i i think you should take this instead. way better style.

It's a sport. If you don't think so, you are stupid. _________________

Because everybody carries a gun around. Also, if I'm being threatened with a gun, at least I have a slight chance to make it out alive. You on the other hand, will be standing there throwing money at the mugger in hopes of him sparing your life. Although my odds are small, I at least have odds of making it out alive other than begging for my life. Dumb cunt.

I agree. Shooting a gun is as much a sport as darts or chess. Only darting is for fat people, chess is for smart people, and guns are for people with small penises.

MMA is pretty cool and the classes were probably the best workouts I've had. Just feels gay when you're doing it... and watching it.
Because of the touching, or because of the hard-on?

I've probably mentioned this before. I did Krav Maga when I lived in Israel. It was fun for a while, but honestly, I prefer boxing. And Ju jitsu if I'm in a bad mood.
LOL that's great and all, but man I have read up and viewed a bunch of wing chun people, I hope you realize that in real life, people dont flail their arms around within a foot distance from each other.
I have never seen anyone fight that close, and what if you go up against someone bigger than you? still gonna move in close range? how? his arm is longer than yours, you'd just get punched.
get real man. Kung fu is all great in movies and shit, but learn an actual fighting style. Like a previous poster, Boxer, Ju-Jutsu. because those focus on actual fights and actually hitting.
all those videos are just choreographed fights, in a real fight people are afraid to get hit, and I highly doubt you would move in to such close quarters right away.
Not being an ass, I'm just tired of people thinking Kung Fu is something it's not. SUre it's discipline, and in some ways meditation, but be real.

If you'll watch the second video, I think you'll notice that it incorporates weaponry.

Hence why it's my secondary sport. I will, as mentioned before, only do it once a week, as opposed to Krav Maga, which I will soon be doing three times a week. Krav Maga is composed of multiple martial arts, like (brazilian) Jiu Jutsu, (kick)boxing, etc. To implement another sport, like Wing Chun, can only work in my favor when used at the right time. But to say that Wing Chun is useless is utter crap. Makes me doubt you actually tried any of these sports properly, and without bias.
