I didn't really think so. it was normally 40 or higher when recording. When not recording its always above 60

When not recordng, mine is always above 120 with triple buffered vsync on.

Graphics-wize, everything is maxed. My tv hates me and won't let me output 1080p from my comp ;-;.

Yes, but it only takes up half the screen even though its 1080p. I'd rather record and enjoy the game than record and hate it..

Ehh anti-alias isn't worth it in source games just leave it at 2x you'll see almost no change and a massive performance increase.

There is a black border around the entire screen that takes up half the total space. When I switch to 720, its fullscreen. The same happens on the desktop. I've tried all the picture settings for my tv and pc.

Weird I've never heard of letterboxing in games.

Also I play on lowest settings intentionally so I can see the furthest without weather effects or smoothness/dof

I lower settings till I get a constant 60fps. I just use max for gameplay vids, because that tends to get people off.

... Just noticed laptop power saver mode was on... I guess they automatically tick that on laptops...
I wonder what my fps will be with it off.
