You know, 6.99999~ is used to show that there is a margin between it and 7, if you just wrote 7 there would be no difference between writing 6.99~ and 7.

xD it isn't flawed....... why it works takes some math tricks. 6.999999999(off to infinity) is not 7, it is VERY CLOSE to 7 though. That's like saying you can divide by 0 just because you divide by a number like 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001.

Haters gonna hate.

Smile

Thanks for taking interest in my blog though!

A mathematical proof doesn't mean 6.99999999_ is equal to 7. 7 is finite 0-7 done, 6.9999999999_ is not finite. Because an equation proofs to be true doesn't make it true. You are starting to get into i numbers. I'm sure you could make 3 = 4 doesn't mean that it's true.

... = repeating
0.333... = 1/3
0.666... = 2/3
0.999... = 3/3
3/3 = 1

Regardless, I don't see why you guys have to bash one post. There are plenty of other posts which I believe are also good.

However, I can sort of understand and I'm one to always stand for skepticism of everything--that's why I love this forum Smile.

Thanks again guys for visiting my blog I've gotten 30 visits thus far Smile

Yeah... if .9 = 1 then.

Such as the one that shows you how to multiply two two-digit numbers together?
Thanks for teaching me how to foil, bro. I'm pretty sure I can multiply normally and achieve the same end result faster, though.

Protip: 6.999 is not, and never will be 7. Numbers are never synonymous. Because of the infinite amount of numbers, there's also no such thing as numbers being "close". It's either the same, or it's not.

Oh, and by the way, your method for multiplying in one post is different than another. If you're going to split up a number, it doesn't have to be over 10 and below 100.
Here's your little 6.999=7 thing disproved using your own technique:

x=6.999
6.999 = 6 + .999
10x = 60 + 10(.999)
10-x= (60 + 10(.999))-(6+1(.999))
9x=54 + 9(.999)
54/9=6
(9(.999))/9=.999
9x/9=6 + .999
x=6.999

By the way, when you multiply 6.999 by 10, it becomes 69.99, not 69.999. Even if you've got an infinite amount of nines after the decimal, you're now going to have infinity-1 after it. Which doesn't work out to be the same when you subtract 6.999.
:)

Also, what is your point with this keyboard review?
What's the difference between a mechanical and electronic keyboard if they both look and feel the same?
There isn't one.

I hear my bitches getting mad about IEEEs floating point specifications. My 6.99999999999999 sure do look mighty estimated. Best count that tolerance factor.

Electrical>Mechanical.

Electrical means less moving parts, faster reaction times, less resistance. Most certainly not the same. Thats like saying a standard hard disk and a solid state disk as the same.
