I've just been looking into this more clearly, and I think J.K Rowling was making a refference to Hitler, when creating the Voldemort character.

First of all, both seek "pure bloods", as Voldemort hated Muggles, and Mud bloods, Hitler hated Jewish peoples, and dispised any person to mate with them.

Second of all, they both had a evil, but strong hold over the Ministry(s). As you can see in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, they say "The ministry has been breached."

Thirdly, both partys tried to remove the "Inferier" race, by murder, causing panic. As they would take away the wands of accused mudbloods, and send them to Azkaban, the Nazi party would take away the rights of the jewish, and send them to Achwitz (Spelled it wrong.)

It's amazing, isn't it?

That's kind of like saying, George Lucas was trying to make the emperor like Hitler within the story of starwars.
