Just pirate the game. I made a big mistake actually paying money for it.
Pirate the game, and donate to modders who actually update the game and care about it.

Except if I pirate it, I can't play on 99% of servers. Plus, I support Notch. Not to mention, I've already bought an account, but it got stolen two weeks ago and I'm impatient and haven't been able to get it back, despite multiple attempts at emailing Notch and Daniel.
