what makes a monitor 3d ready? is it just the 120hz or something else

3D requires 120 hz. There are 3D screens that don't require glasses, though I'm not sure how they'd work or how good they'd look.

Actually, it's the goggles. They do nothing.

I thought the monitor has like 2 layers of mirroring pixels, or something like that.a
