I'm in America, so the drinking age is 21, not 18.

It's not about being able to buy your own beer and get sloppy drunk without anyone being able to complain.

It's about celebrating your first real step into adulthood, with a nice, cold martini. Shaken, not stirred, of course :]

I know, people may think that I'm saying you'll binge drink every night once you've tried alcohol. We all know you won't, maybe once on that certain occasion, but the point is, try to avoid alcohol just because it's available.

Kids (and by kids I mean teens) may think there is no point to drinking alcohol except getting drunk. And for them, it's true... to put it bluntly, they are "young, dumb, and full of cum". I once fit this description, and until recently, I too thought there's no reason to drink unless you want to be drunk.

However for responsible adults, drinking is about culture. Taste, celebration, and socialization.

If I could drink Bud Light Lime without getting drunk, I'd still drink it. The taste is absolutely fantastic, especially in the bottles. It hits your tongue with a delightful blast of carbonated goodness. It is like the nectar of the gods.

I'm not against drinking and partying. I do that all the time.

I am just against drinking way too much, especially after what I've seen in the past few months.

I've partied with adults (early to late 20's), and with kids (mid to late teens). There is a HUGE difference. Besides the fact that the adult parties are waaaay bigger (and better), there is much less negative emotions flying around and less teen lust stinking up the air.

Not to mention, the cops can't come and just shut down the party because everyone's underage. At most, they'll tell us to quiet down.
