He's making the game better and it's still cheap as fuck and is a brilliant game. He just donated to an indie gamer thing because he knows how it is, and he's earned the money he's made. I don't see the problem.

Donating the money isn't, but being who he is and what he is making his game is something else, and yeah the game is still cheap as hell. For another 5 days or so, then you will have to pay for updates if you buy during beta, and so on.
The game is fucking blocks, If I wanted to pay for regular updates as a beta member, I would buy lego.

I've spent more than 5x the time on Minecraft than I've spent on many other games that I've paid for at full price (100-120$ in Australia, it's fucking bullshit).

You don't have to pay for updates after the beta, only addons. Like in the future he might want to make expansion packs that make the game completely different and if he doesn't remove that line in the ToS, he can't charge for them and he will hit a point in his career where he makes next to no money. I support him to be honest.

Minecraft is going to go open source and he will make no more money, all this revenue he's getting now will support his start up company to make more games.
