In a less harsh aspect, I kind of agree with this. I don't study. You aren't learning, you're reading a book and keeping it in your memory to write a test likely less than 48 hours later. You don't KNOW it, you just KNEW it at a certain time from reading it. You don't try to learn, you try to remember for a while.
Learning it is retaining it and only having to rely on yourself to know it.

i could easily understand this with high school, but not college. in high school i'd get like an hour of homework at most a day and never had to study. life was so easy. rarely had homework on weekends. and projects could be finished in a day. that's not to say i don't still do essays and other assignments in college worth 15-20 percent of my grade the day before they're due...
