If I buy the orange box as gift now is there a time limit for when I have to send it someone?

I'm trying to get my friend to play TF2 and I figure when you get it while it is cheap and gift it to him for Christmas (Kill two birds with one stone)

if there is it should be within 30 days, so you're fine even if there is a limit

edit: i looked into and this is what i got
