What? Light waves are what you see, they have nothing to do with time travel. You would be seeing the past, but you can't do anything. Assuming that there were sufficient light waves to even REPRODUCE an image (eg: not absorbed, refracted, reflected, or somehow eaten by Cthulhu the Beast which Sleeps), then you would see the past, now if you return to earth, you would just see earth as it is. You would just SEE things, nothing more. You cant actually kill Jesus or save Hitler.
P.S.: The only thing you have discovered is that shrooms does not make you a scientist.

Also Aviar was spot on, light has nothing to do with time travel, it's just the speed at which it goes. (If my internet wasn't sucking I would go into more depth).
