1)Whenever I minimize or close an application and the desktop is next to show up, it doesn't. Instead, I see an imprint of the application I just closed.
2)I was about to restart my computer, until I got a DDE server window problem. I googled and found some answers but none of the website I saw mentioned the "desktop" problem above.
3)Then, I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and they came up with three infected files.

Should I just do this? I saw this on another forum:

Control Panel doesn't work. Search was working but now it doesn't. My Documents, Pictures, Computer doesn't work. Run works and so does any other application.
In other words,I haven't done anything. I have not removed the infected files. The infected files are also Adware.Askpop according to Malwarebytes, so I doubt that the problems are related.
Too me, I appear to have three different problems.
So, here's my request.
A step by step on what to do because I don't want to screw anything up.
Since Control Panel doesn't work, I can't follow that tutorial. I have 2 plans in my head, if you agree this is what I should do, please say so.
1)Restart computer without removing infected files first
2)When it says to "End Now" DDE server, I click End Now, shutting down the computer
3)After that, I will assume I can see my Desktop again and the Start Menu functions will work
4)Follow above tutorial hoping the DDE problem is now gone
5)Remove infected files
OR
1)Follow a guide on the internet (Which I can't find) to open Control Panel
2)Follow above guide
3)Remove infected files
If you think I should follow a different route, please say so.
