It detects explorer.exe as fake.
Get yourself a legitimate version of explorer.exe.
Should be able to pop in your Windows disk and select "Repair". _________________

It could be a hotfix from Windows that throws off the hash crc of the file, or who knows. Zelda_454 is correct, try to reinstall explorer.exe either from Windows update or from disk. _________________

It's not hard for a virus to infect your explorer.exe. It is, after all, just an executable like any other.
And nothing else would detect it as "fake" because "fake" refers to it being infected by a virus, and I assume Norton is the only antivirus you have. _________________

Norton is a terrible anti-virus and you shouldn't use it. |
