what ive been trying to do here is making a thread or injecting a call in a function that gets called alot.

first attempt was making a whole new thread for it which seemed to run..not long enough

Code:

0000:mov [someaddress],ekacfeeb
push 2000
call sleep
jmp 0000

this only seems to loop two times for some reason i dont understand.

the second attempt was injecting the call in a function thats called alot.

ill take a random one and call it bob, bob is called every 0.1 seconds

i inject right at the start of bob:

Code:

mov [myaddress],ekacfeeb
push 2000
call sleep
REST OF BOB's CODE HERE

i know this method doesnt work because of the registers, even when i replace them all to their original state after the call sleep is made, the program still doesnt seem to "sleep" through it and just keeps spamming the mov [myaddress],ekacfeeb as fast as the function runs itself.

id like some help on this please ive tried googling but no success there

Will sleep for about 8sec, maybe you where to quick to judge your thread code ?
Could it be you where trying to sleep for 2sec but did a typo there ?
