Because seeding and leeching seem to always be greatly disadvantageous towards me. I'm pretty sure those nodes are setup in a way that people with high upload speeds download at a much slower rate so we stick around longer than we have to. Image is proof of that... sort of:

my upload speed is higher on speedtest for me, most of the time more than double what download is.

Internet in the Netherlands isn't all that great. There are two main providers; UPC (cable provider), and KPN (Fiber and regular phoneline provider). All other companies use the wiring done by these two companies, but appear to be incapable of providing the same awesome service as these two. I'm currently at KPN on fiberzzz. Their customer service used to suck, but they have greatly improved since a couple of years.

Oddest thing I've seen in terms of a down/up ratio.

I did, it drops my download speed significantly. Like they down I'm capping it.

Naw I'm cool. This makes no sense though, using a different port than 80 I get much higher upload speeds (as seen in uTorrent). But the image below is measured on port 80:
