I'm thinking of making a game thats an online playable version of pingpong.

Example:


Scoring:
Once the ball hits your Lifebar, you lose, and you get disconnected from the gameroom, and a CPU takes your place.

If the ball hits the outline, and your closest to it, you lose 10 hp. Each player gets 50hp. The less hp you have, the weaker & slower your pong is.

System:
The Server Controls everything, so you cannot cheat by using lag methods/speed hack.


Extra:
If there are only 2 people left the ball speed increases by 25% and the CPU's are much more effective in attacking.




Is this good?

The idea is cool. And doesn't look hard to code, either. Good luck Smile

Just a suggestion: I wouldn't make your pong's speed decrease with hp, or losing 10hp would result in losing them all eventually.

Instead of having the reflector lines and such, you could also make the outline shape change depending on how many players is present ex:

2players: square (original pong)
3players: triangle
4players: full square
5players: pentagon

and so on. Just an idea.

I think you'd need a quick connection for a game like this to work, it seems nice tho, gl with it.

instead of replacing the player that loses with a cpu it's easier and nicer to just replace it will a wall segment. Making it for other players more tactical to bounce the ball of that wall

Great idea, but I think people will get bored with the game really fast.
What programming language would it be in?
