On my main save, I've been looking for clay and cacti for ages.
I just created a new save, right infront of me: 72 clay; left of me: 11 cacti; right of me: 12 papyrus.
I love this save.

Here are the 5 steps of success in Minecraft
1. Dig into a hole
2. fall into hole
3. see a whole bunch of diamond on the way down
4. hit lava and die
5. close game in a furious rage, get corrupted save.

Not exactly 60 diamonds on kneelengths, but there seem to be plenty around, and one huge deposit.
All pretty near my base.
RED = diamond.
