ASUS p5n something mobo ( ddr only,no pci-e version)
Trident 8mb AGP video card + 5200FX PCI + 7100 PCI total of 6 display
3 4x Sata I controller
18 250gb Western Digital "GP" drives (not retail, distribution drives) in a JBOD config
380W earthwatt
1 160gb Samsung spinpoint drive, and Pioneer dvd drive (both IDE)
Generic case modded to hold 18 harddrives and DIY 1 hotswap bay

How do you make your own hotswap bays, don't those have their own pcb with a custom controller on them.

hot swap requires nothing. except a couple of cable
(see the CM690 case, or Antec P18X mid/full tower, they have hotswap bay also)

Hot swap bays do something different but I forgot what it was. Also the 800D has one also.

True, but a majority of /RS/ members have pretty decent computers.
People say nice computers cost as much as a console, but I'm no good at spotting deals, nor do I know what to look for...

Consoles are 199-299 there is not way to get a computer thats good @ that price. I built my own computer and it cost me like 1500 so far.
