Also, why is my gold pickaxe shitter than my iron pickaxe? =/

Well it's generally only at the very bottom, but because of the random generation, you could probably try to dig to see if there's more under it.
If you see a hole that has the moon in it though, don't jump in, it'll kill you

You can't set spawn in infdev...

Yes, i'm sure. You can't set spawn in infdev, you can only do that in creative.
If you die in infdev you're sent to spawn point, so try and make your base close, or have a path to your base
