Basically I have a pointer which I read from. How do I get an array of bytes to search for this pointer with the next time my game patches?

For example, my pointer is: [[00c9e688h]+45h] - how do I update this next patch?

View the bytes of the base address in memory viewer and try to find the new address after patch by searching for those bytes and look for similar areas. If the exact array of bytes doesn't find anything try replacing some bytes with ??.
