just a little hard to rig yes.

Rig: the system
making a rig :: making it so you have controllers and dont have to manually animate everything.

example:

the internal wheels that moves the track. they are all related so they all move together and the track rotates as the tank moves froward. also all the parts of the tank follows the central part as the tank moves and haves a specific parent and child order so the turret can be rotated.

I've always wanted to get into 3D Studio, but it looks pretty complicated to use (compared to Photoshop)

Do you know how to work with Adobe Illustrator aswell?
