Get a level 100 Scizor with false swipe.
I will not tell you how much this helped me throughout the game. False Swipe reduces the enemys HP to 1.

Well, either way, youll pwn. The one thing i love about Scizor, is that if you get to a tough boss / legendary, this really helps out. It also helps to level lower level pokemon (lower enemys hp to 1, take out weak pokemon and atk!)

Blastoise uses Fissure!
It's a One-Hit KO!
Seriously, a instakill attack that has 5 pp, you can wipe out all but the last pokemon in a battle.
Just make sure you invest in accuracy, because it's naturally a low accuracy move.
I just dropped shitloads of upgrades on Blastoise since he was Squirtle and Fissure hits every time.
