And then just save it as *.js? I'm like an ultimate beginner on this, I would just like to know if I'm headed the right direction.

the obvious blunder here is that this is HTML... greasemonkey uses javascript files.

ofc, but clearly the source OP is using is pure HTML, without any clear indication as to how it would be useful in any script.
