In the end, the free market (Not your Polish government) reigns supreme. Although I will admit I have no clue how the Polish government works relative to other European countries and I just have in the back of my mind that you guys have strictly enforced caps on your hours worked.

I hate when this happens.
I was making a program, and before I could proceed, I had to talk to the team and my boss for their input (as it's a process). I legitimately could not continue without prior approval as it goes against the process we have in place, and my boss is busy in fuck knows where, so I had a couple of months where I sat my ass down, and reddited for 8 hours.
I would never want anybody to suffer that fate, holy crap.

For me I switch between doing 6 weeks backend tech fixing shit, and 3 weeks doing customer support. Except I get on customer support and I know very little compared to everyone else as I'm mostly on the tech stuff so usually when a case comes in I have no idea on how to solve it and leave it for someone else.

You are illegally employed to avoid paying taxes, so there are no rules or government hasn't sat up cap of how much hours you can work per week?

The maximum hours is supposed to be 48, but this only works on a certain kind of contract. There are telemarketers I know who work 80 hours.
