| I always wondered if my mp3 player's battery would run out faster if I use my big ass sennheiser headphone instead of my small earphones? |

| I'm reasonably sure that it would be the same. |

| But my sennheiser's sound is way louder than my normal earphones. Wouldn't it effect the battery time? |

| It depends on the driver size, impedence, etc. Regardless, there won't be any noticeable difference, it takes so little to power headphones. |

No, not at all.
The only thing (no, not only, but you get my point) that could make your battery last shorter is increasing the sound volume, as that makes your mp3-player put more energy in the output. The reason why your sennheiser can play your music harder is probably because it's electrical resistence (Ω) is lower than it is your other headphone. |

No, if the driver impedance is lower in some cases it can enable the amplifier to pull more current. But like I said, with headphones it would be a negligible amount anyway. |
