i7 920 normal temp on 100% performance out of fabric is 80°C+ (( which is not a good thing ))
I think I found a water cooling system which according to the performance test made its going to get 45°C at 100% with no overclocking
now I gotta see prices in Peru... if I'm lucky and its less than 130$ I might be able to buy it this month, if not maybe the next month. |

Speaking of hot stuff.
My GPU used to go up to 70C idling and 107C on load
bought a cooler and now it's 39C idling and 57C (max) on load |

Water cooling systems are expensive and have very bad price:performance ratios compared to normal heatsinks.
Just get the hyper 212. _________________

at long term it pays itself.
920 is one of the best ones price/performance i7 because with a good cooling system you can overclock it up to 3.8 and remain stable. and if you live in a cold place you can overclock it up to 4.0 and remain stable.
can overclock it even more but stability is not guaranteed by Intel. |
