currently rendering a 3D scene xP and maybe its because my pc has been on like fore 12 hours already

I still need to buy that fucking new case and cooling system though...


pretty much the danger zone for core i7 is 100°C
edit:

fuck, just reached 100, going to turn off my PC

yeah I got liek everything but a decent case and a good cooling system, but I already spent all my money so I need to save up some more months...

stabilized it, its on 56°C and going down.

doesnt work like dat,
once tried it with my previous PC, was so legit, because I used a motherfucking giant industrial fan (( was 3 times bigger than my case ))

Leaving your computer on for a long time shouldn't matter.

If there is a heating problem, your CPU would generally reach unsafe temperatures somewhat quickly. Otherwise your CPU should stay at stable temperatures even if you never shut it off.

There's a few likely possibilities here. If you assembled the PC yourself without much experience, there's a chance that you didn't fully secure the heatsink and/or use thermal glue properly. And there's also the chance that you simply don't have good enough airflow. Most likely it is the heatsink.
