Hello,
I'm trying to read data from a flight simulator game. I would like to get to read their x, y, z.
I have managed to get my ownship location, but i'm unsure how to find out theirs.
The game is fairly old ('99). thanks for any directions
[edit] a little more info[/edit]
Basically, the game has a 2d overview. It shows all locations of known aircraft. Now, i would like to get those positions so i can present them outside of the game. I have access to the server itself (it's multiplayer).
When i search for strings on what i see in the game, for instance "P51-D, 552x874" is a notation. First the aircraft, the next parts is x & y. (no altitude yet). Now i can search that because i know it's there. I'm unsure on how to find other/new entries. I take it that i need to find a pointer which writes these values out but i don't have a clue on reaching that.
I've tried scanning in getting the values and that works. But what if i don't know which planes are airbone?
Thanks in advance

try scanning 4 bytes for 552 or 874
if won't work, instead of 4 bytes, try float.
if still won't work, try 2 bytes.
