Here is what's probably my best grunge tag yet, "Concrete".

As a side note, after downloading about 450 grunge brushes, making about 150 (I would guess that I used 15 of these personally made in brushes this tag), and reading alot of tutorials, I would say that I am pretty good at this.

Here's my depth attempt.

I don't know what you've done, used and downloaded. But i've seen brushes doing same kind of effect in one click. And it looks pretty flat.

Could you:

1) give a suggestion on how I might go about making it less flat

2) direct me to these brushes that could perhaps save me an hour.

Looks like you got a grunge table-ish image, then used a bunch of brushes and text.

Good outcome, but try making something worthwhile.

May I suggest my favorite effect, the glow :p ! There's a guide somewhere in Art Tutorials.

I love it, I always like grunge pictures. Though I always fail in making a nice grunge signature for myself =/.

Try spraypaint on concrete not just dirt or whatever that's meant to be. It makes more sense. Here, use one of my really old stencil designs (it's made to be cut-out but you'll manage, I'm sure).

Don't make the stencil unrealistic either. The parts which connect the eyes to the outside and other parts are pretty important because it gives it support. Without those it'll seem fake.

Spraypaint style. With darker colours conflicting with the concrete.

I think its really good to be honest :l Its a good combination of brushes and the text is discrete but not invisible. Me likes!
