Erugh, the style is there, but it doesn't blend.
You've just done a background and slapped the render on.
Text isn't great either.

Try to make the render fit into the background.

I like it.
I suppose the coloring behind that ball thing Kirby's on looks a bit weird to be, but besides that... it's great! Simple, but it works.

Oh I know. But the weirdy shape behind it that kinda goes from light to dark from the inside out is what I don't like. To follow Viral's suggestion, consider placing something in front of parts of Kirby to make it look more like it fits in.

hmm ok ok:
here are some suggestions:

1) remove the text from there
2) center the kirby
3) place 2 layers of scanlines 1 behind the kirby and another one on top but with a low opacity
4) place the text but make it little and place it on a corner (( I would say the right lower corner will make it ))
5)post to see how it looks?

Hmmm. Why do you want me to comment? I think it's good. I prefer it with the scanlines though. Without it looks too plain.
