ok let me start off what i have at the moment
processor: intel(R) 4 cpu 2.40GHz
768 mb Ram
80 gb hdd
old 2001 ide motherboard
intergreded graphics card
with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
i don't have much of a budget but i am willing to compromise my 80 gb hdd and my mother board for something better
i have a mid-tower, i'm located in the US so i would prefer not to have to buy over seas. please help me keep the price to a minimum.

wat, you have a quad-core processor @ 2.4GHz but 768MB RAM? You should probably upgrade that first. For second, it depends what you use your computer for. What types of games do you play (if any)? How much space do you think you need?

I would buy another computer completely if I were you, since your hardware is rather outdated.

I Agree with you!
I have a 2.8GHZ P4 2GB of ram with an old ATI Radeon 9600 and this is not ennough to run all the new game.

actually, if you have a pci-e slot and get like a 4650 you will be able to run everything.

accually i have an AGP port so i guess i'm just going to re use the case.
off topic: why derep me?? i don't think i've caused any troubles since the whole raredaredevil and zomg incident. and i do admit my posts when i first joined were very immature

Yeah, but there's no way he'll have a PCI-E slot in that thing.
Plus, GPU isn't everything. A 4650 on a single-core P4 will bottleneck like fuck.

| Just get a new comp, everything is totally outdated, cause if you want to upgrade you need to change everything, better make a custom comp.

Well, in any game that a 4650 will have a tough time playing, the P4 will bottleneck.
