				| do a changed/unchanged scan. when you are targeting(special cursor), do a search, then dont target it (so normal cursor) and do a changed search, then walk arround, and do a unchanged search, then look at the target and do a changed search, walk arround, and look at the target, and do a unchanged search.

eventually you'll find where the cursor state is stored (or someting close that also changes when you target)

what type of Value should i search?
 and
do i need to stick my mouse on monster for the whole scan? it will be hard because monster are always moving.

				| 4 byte should do.
and can't you play it in single player mode? if so, there is usually a pause option, if there isn't use the pause option in cheat engine (under advanced options, and you can give it a hotkey if you want)

To more generally answer this question, if not for you, for others...

What type of value should you scan for?!

 - Worry not, as CE doesn't actually scan for 'only values that could be floats' or 'only values that could be X'. It simply 'converts' all data to that data type when doing searches.

 - 4 byte searches are the best starting point. As DB states above, doing 'changed' and 'unchanged' value scans are also a big help... why?
-- Lets take floats for example. When a negative float decreases (further negative), the 4 byte version actually increases. So doing 'decreased' and 'increased' scans can indeed do the exact opposite of that which you're trying to do. If you know the value is a float, however, simply do a float scan and 'increased/decreased' will work just fine.

 - 4-byte scans, with fastscan enabled, will pretty much pick up any 32 bit application value. Narrowing this to 2-bytes or single byte will search for values such as INT's (0-65535) and booleans (true/false), but they will also be picked up in a 4 byte scan.

 - 8 byte scans also work, but make sure you have fastscan enabled (else the scan will be hideously huge). I have not yet encountered a game, which used a value 8 bytes long, but I've used 8-byte scans to find things like strings, etc (not really all that useful imho).

I'd go on into the rest of the scan types, but I gotta fly for now!
