OK. So I am planning to go to the apple store to get some help with my touch. (Its doin somethin weird)
I jailbroke it, but i restored it as a new ipod.
BUT. it still has the new FIMRWARE 3.0 i believe it was, but i DIDNT pay for it. My friend put it in for me.
Now can apple tell that i didnt pay for the newest version? should i download the version it came with?

| why in the HELL would you jailbreak it, turn it back to normal and then get it checked.........it depends on who checks it though, some ppl dont care and some will bust yo butt

Hey I did the same thing; All you gotta` do is
go youtube/google 2.2.1 firmware for iPod Touch 2G.
Download it.
*JUST INCASE! IF YOU KNOW HOW TO SSH.*
Go SSH into your iPod click in the Private -> Var -> mobile -> DELETE THE JAILBREAK LOG!.
Then go into the aplication folder delete CYDIA.
then put it into DFU mode.
Open iTunes, it`ll ask you to restore it.
Shift + Restore and find your 2.2.1 firmware you download it.
& you`re done. +rep pls <33

If you get the newest Ipod touch updates for free when it costs $9.99 then it's kind of stealing. I have an Ipod touch and my friend got in trouble for getting it from me.
