Every now and then, my computer loses internet connection. I am still connected to my router (I am able to go to my router's IP address, eg: 192.168.1.1). I have to get my lazy ass in the garage and grab a ladder, bring it all the way up just to unplug my router and plug it back in. It works after that, but after a while it goes out again. Pisses me off while I play multiplayer games.
Oh, and if it helps, I have a Linksys.

Is it possible for you to connect another PC to that router?
Because I had the same problem today with both me and my laptop, they both lost their connection at the same time. I resetted al my settings for my router (Linksys) and everything has been working for the last 5-6 hours now.

All the computers in my house (3 desktops, 1 laptop) are connected to the same router.

Have you try resetting the router? | Actually, yes.
And what do you mean by resetting? Like unplugging and plugging back in, because that's what I do for it to temporarily work. If you mean pushing a pretty button to reset all the other shit, then I would be dis-allowed (My father controls the network shit around my place)
