Yes, you can use Xfire to join servers and play online.
You need to have the latest patch tho.

To play backup games on a 360 or PS3 (or any disc-based system for that matter) you need to mod the console, which will disallow the use of the online component.

I've read some ways of useing blue ray blank discs to put the pirated games on with a mounting software, but im to lazy
