Uh I definitely don't think you can jailbreak it with a calculator.
I helped my friend jailbreak his PS3 and it was a huge pain in the ass. The main problem is getting the drivers to load on your PC, if you buy a ps3key clone. If you get the true PS3key legit from the manufacturer, it should have the hex files already loaded onto it.
Then every time you boot up the PS3, you have to plug the power cable in, press the power button, then press the eject button very quickly and if you're lucky, it works.
And don't even get me started on FTPing to the PS3... you have to really know how network connections work in order to do it.
And, you have to have firmware version 3.41, and no later. There were plenty in stock a couple months ago but since christmas, they were all sold up.
It's a bitch, but in the end, it's worth it... way worth it.

You can jailbreak it with a calculator.
OP: I didn't jailbreak mine, I enjoy the online play too much. You really have to weigh up whether or not you're willing to sacrifice it to get a few games for free.

Yeah your right buying a game is much better it's all about multiplayer.
