Yeah I'm interested in this topic as well, I've been trying to figure this out. Will be interesting if someone can provide some insight on it. Like the basics for going about trying to find the address for x/y cords.
So far I know that there's a different address for x and y locations and that the value of the address changes based on where your char is at x/y in the game/map you are on. |

Usually the coords are like (235,35 / 573,93 ) - That's X and Y. They're mainly stored in Float (due to the ,35 and ,93). So try and scan for theese.
Teleport - Most games which uses coords, also has a map where you can mouse-over placed to get their coords. So simply change your coord values into whatever it says on the map, and pling, you're there! - Unless it's an online game. It's proberbly gonna disconnect you. |

Alright I just tried finding the X address by simply looking for the X cord which in this case was X = 12183, then that gave me 9 or so addresses I moved my char then looked back over at the addresses to see if any of the values matched the cords I was now standing at. Needless to say none of the values matched the location/cords. I tried that I float maybe I'll try in a couple of other different types and see what I get from those as well.
EDIT: To avoid double posting.
Ok tried in different search types nothing gives back correct addresses for cords.
How I've seen it look in MS which isn't the game involved we just talking about in general here.
That a person used pointers with a already known address and 2 different offsets one for x the other for y. The pointer address was the same for both but like I said different off set for each. |

That just means the person already found the addresses, and found the pointers to them
Maybe all information is stored with some kind of algorithm(?) .. Like all values are added with 3 ,... or alike. |

ok
for most games have their 0:0 coordinates at the top left of the map
so i reccomend this
For y
scan for an uknown value
then walk down on the map
now scan for increased value
then walk up then scan for decreased
and then stand still and scan for no changed
i would just keep doing that eventually you will narrow down your cordinates
For x just walk right and left instead _________________
