Which do you like better and why?
I like single player games better as they don't have as much abuse.
Multiplayers are good too with real people not just AI.

singleplayer
I play games for the cutscenes and storyline, the stuff inbetween is boring for me. (which explains why I almost always start cheating after the first hour)
I also hate it that just before you finish a quest you encounter someone called l33tl4mer who kills you, or in a non pvp just stands in your way so you can't continue.

Yeah, Cutscenes play a vital part in games. But games like Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy are basically interactive movies.
Those people in online games are the same people that call you noobs.

I play more multiplayers because single players are story games, once you win them you stop playing them but multiplayers are different, every single game is different.

I play more multiplayer, but I love singleplayer a lot more. Multiplayer isn't nearly as fun but it keeps me occupied for much more time; singleplayer is almost always interesting, exciting, and overall fun, but the game unfortunately lasts for considerably less time.

Multiplayer all the way, or I play singelplayer also but multiplayer is so much btr.
I love to interact with people instead of just whining singelplayer also
singelplayer games are to limited and easy/fast.

That doesn't make sense, if another human joins in its multiplayer...

Take Call of Duty 4/Waw for example. There's singleplayer that has a story, and then there's multiplayer.

Why not create a game that takes years to beat that is always fun?

Did you ever think about the possibility that creating a game (especially storyline and videos) takes longer then playing it?
And how would you gain profit from a game that "never" ends but only requires a one time payment?
The shorter the games the more you may sell.
My oppinion:
On strategy games I just suck, but I love the storys (as in Warcraft or Starcraft) so I only play singleplayer.
Then there are a bunch of other realy good SP games for console mainly:
Kirby, Tekken, Metal Gear, ...
But I'm completly addicted to DotA / LoL Multiplayer of course.

And open movie-like single player
