Hi all, heres what I want to ask. I'm a noob when it comes to this, and the extent of my knowledge pretty much just how to find pointers/etc in cheatengine and basic to some more advanced programing in delphi.
First up, what is the nature of warden? I have seen alot of what I would call BS posts by ppl who know nothing (as far as I can tell rofl) of how it works. I was browsing the memory editing section of another site, mmowned, and I remember reading that it does not scan your current processes... rather it scans the WoW process, looking for anything being changed/injected (think there was something about user rights......). According to that site (has large, active forum, and seems the most "proffesional" ive seen so far), there are quite a few WORKING, UNDETECTED ON BLIZ bots that read/write (nothing major here, just writing to click to move address and such, allthough there is a multihack for sale with a "free" version made by someone else that has wallhack/no clip, fly, speedhack, and a bunch of other things, undetected).
Anyways, the reason I ask is I am currently making a private "hack/gametool" for myself/friend in delphi, that automaticly presses hotkeys/buffs/rebuffs for you. I have done the "core" coding, and some of the features are implemented, but I wish to be able to read mana and such, in order to only cast spells when there is enough mana, etc.
Also, I suppose I should ask, do you get banned for using CE if you run in stealth mode, and only scan/ attach debugger thingo to find pointer and offset of dynamic addresses?
Also, I need some good tuts on how to memory read in delphi (possibly a series of tuts, so I can solidify my more basic knowledge? Im lacking in some areas :S).
Rofl thats a lot of questions... ow well, Ill appreciate any constructive replies, even if you can only answer part of my questions (PLZ DONT POST ABOUT WARDEN UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR ABOUT).

If it's not possible in game, chances are you will be caught, fast. There's a ton of ways to get your account flagged automatically. Failing that, you're likely toast if anyone sees you doing anything nutty, GM or person.
I'm not sure if the warden gives much of a shit about you reading memory, but it is against the EULA. As such, you can be banned no questions asked. Same with programs that automate playing, editing game files such as replacing models to essentially go through walls, etc etc.
If you're going to do something, do it on a trial account to test the waters.
Finally, reading memory in Delphi is the same as any other language, ReadProcessMemory. (google)

Yes, ive now figure out how to memory read in delphi it was easyer than I thought, i found an old thread of another newb asking the same question, and do intend to test memory reading/finding addresses with CE on a trial accout. What my gametool does is remove the need to press buttons repetitivly during combat, and remove human error. As such, unless warden detects it it is hopefuly undetectable. I guess ill just see if i get disconnected when I open CE . I would still be greatful if someone can tell me if CE gets you banned if your just finding addresses.......
EDIT: I've run into a problem. I can read memory from any other program using delphi/CE together.... but all addresses from WoW turn up as 1 . Any1 got any ideas? Also: trial not banned so far, did have message on start about CE running, but I think that was just a window scan, not detecting hacking.

Just modify the game exe itself to write the memory into a file when you press the H key like me o.O
