|
|
I checked the rules and other sections and didn't see a better place to post this, nor any rules against posting this here. Lock and delete if there is some incredibly secret important reason that we should not have a tag.
With the hacking sections gone, one thing that would certainly enlighten and help this forum would be to allow us just a bit more freedom of expression by letting us change the font faces of our posts.
The default font is boring now. It is easy to read, but users can simply choose to not change their font from the default if they wish.
We already have font color and size, which are useful and are never abused. But you can't really use them for expression because they make the text too unreadable.
What I'm suggesting is to have a drop down box where you can select some basic fonts, such as the ones available in an email editor. It would reduce stress of users, prevent the forum from being so bland, and help users express themselves much more while not having any drawbacks except a few moments of time to perhaps change an option or add some code to the forum control panel.
Does everyone else agree?

Yh i also find it annoying that you have to write your text in those boxes.
I think this is a good idea.

This seems pointless from my point of view, but whatever floats your boat...
Edit: Also, moved.

I agree that a WYSIWYG type editor would be nice but probably too much coding.
So for now I'm hoping that Dark Byte will consider adding some different fonts for us to write our posts in.
