Okay, well, I've come here for some help, hoping to get some.
So, my dads business computer has been acting funky the last couple days..
And by funky, I mean "yahoo.com" is currently causing him issues.
The site will come up, but if he tries to check his mail, or click any links on the site, it does absolutely nothing. And as far as I know, it's only on Yahoo.com.
Now, it does work on all the other computers in my house, so I don't think it's a network problem, but my dad, (who doesn't know much about computers), suggested we get a new router. So we did, and it worked for about a day, and now the issue has come back.
So, before I do a complete restore on the computer, does anyone have ideas on what could be the problem?
Thinks I've done so far :
-New router
-Cleared cookies/cache/all other junk
-Ran Norton
-Ran malware/adware/spyware stuff
-Did a system restore
My dad also thinks it has something to do with the inside of the computer being dirty.. but I don't know..

I have also tried that.
I've tried Internet Explorer, which my dad uses, along with FireFox.
Same issue resulted.

| You know something? I had this same exact issue and somehow solved it. Do you have any antivirus software blocking any web browsers or websites?

You don't have to do a complete restore.
But just system restore back to a point where you didn't have a problem.
Note : If you meant a complete restore a system restore back to a checkpoint as the same thing, sorry.

My guessing is that you either have a popup blocker which is blocking the sites or some software problems (Could be java, I'm not entirely sure.)
If that doesnt work but you want to keep your computer the way it is, Hotmail have introduced a new function where you can add yahoo/gmail email accounts to a hotmail account ( It's really cool if you have a gmail + hotmail account and don't want to log out and in to send email from both accounts.)

I also think it is a popup blocker, else wouldn't make much sence.

Also, forgot to mention I did try a system restore to a few days back, did nothing.
And the only AV we have is norton, and we've been running that for 2 years or so.. we have no popup blockers as far as I know besides the basic IE/Firefox ones.

norton has inbuilt ad block. At a friends computer it blocked sites on it's own without telling. It can even block a script or even a complete site. It must be a nightmare for the browser.
It blocked like communities and webmails and such.
