I actually have HS disabled already. But the game cycles a check every so often to see if HS is running, and if not, kills the socket. I'm fairly new with assembly and OllyDBG so I'm asking for help tracking down the offsets to disable it, since they are thus far escaping me.
Update, and a warning to any who might be planning to remove this piece of crap anti-hack program that causes more problems than it "fixes":
The server sends a challenge to your client every X number of seconds. If your response is wrong, your connection drops. There is no way to stop this, even if your client doesn't have HS loaded. I would assume the algorithms to pass these checks are built into EhSvc.dll, but it's packed with TheMida and I don't have the skill to unpack that.
I'm done trying (barring significant assistance), as I greatly prefer getting frequent, but random game-killing HackShield errors to having my connection killed every 30 seconds to 3 minutes. At least with HackShield I sometimes get a few hours without crashing.
