I was just wondering, what should I learn first, ect? Also, how long do you think it will take to become comfortable with photo shop?
Thanks!

Actually I dont like following "Do like me" tutorials
search for some technique tutorials.
the best thing you can do to start is just play around with effects and filters so you familiarize with the new environment

First of all, you should learn the basics, and do what gogodr said. Be familiar with the shortcuts as well, it'll be faster that way.

You're wrong. The tutorials aren't made to say 'Do it exactly like this and follow it word for word'. They're made to say, 'Here's how I do this, no go and develop that into your own effects and ideas'.
@OP: I suggest GFXPSDs.com for good Photoshop documents. that you can download and look through. I'll post a few tutorials for you too.

1: Familiarize your self to the tools.
2: Get some tutorials or Play around with it and develop your own style(harder)
3: Practice, practice and more practice.
Also, asking for tips don't hurt so feel free to ask when you fail at achieving the desired effect.

Mmm, technique tutorials are nice, but I personally also started with "do like me" tuts, because looking at the application step-by-step is quite helpful.
Some tutorials also come with .psd files that you can download and take a look at as well, just to get a better idea of what they did.
