Hi there,
where does one download WPE Pro and PermEdit nowadays?
I mean the site linked here: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=309234 exists but cannot download from there.
Yes, I know I can Google for it, but I do not trust such sources.
Thanks for kicking me to the right direction.

Why would these applications be illegal?
Thanks for the links. The first one requires registration, so that's a no-no, but the second one was ok.

WPE is a packet editting tool. Packet editting is illegal at some places, if used in a certain way. So these kind of tools are considered "malware".

| Right. So the tools themselves are not illegal. It's just that if it gets into the wrong hands, someone can do illegal things with it. Pretty much the same situation as having a gun or, using torrent.
